| Altech Academy, AYPC and Da Vinci Altron Young Presidents Club launched its Leadership Development Programme on the 12th March at Da Vinci House in Modderfontein. The eleven students, their mentors and Altron Executives were treated to a light lunch followed by welcome speeches from Johan Klein, Robbie Venter and Derick Deyzel. It was heartening for the students having the Executives present and this reassured them that Management have a keen interest in their future development and future in the Group. | 8 February 2010 |
| Altech Academy goes to East Africa We are proud to announce that we held our first training session in Kenya, Nairobi. A total of twelve students from Infocom, Swift Global and Kenya Data Networks attended the Project Management Programme. The programme was delivered by Da Vinci Institute. The programme was customised to meet the needs of the students and the business. Lectures were held from the 17th – 20th March with lectures scheduled to take place again in May. Students were welcomed onto the programme by Johan Klein (Altech Executive: HR & IR) and Professor Roy Marcus from Da Vinci. | 1 January 2010 |
| Studies through Altech Academy by Shayne Mitchell Dear Colleagues, I have had a few people approach me for information, advice etc. regarding studying through the Altech Academy. Based on this I collaborated with some of my fellow students to put together a short email. Obviously this is not the company's view, it is Our Take and should be seen in this context. We (first intake) started our Masters Degree (MSc) via Altech Academy early 2008 and if all goes to plan we should complete the degree early 2010. | Altech Academy Bursary Student Breakfast On the 23rd January our twenty one bursary students attended a breakfast with Craig Venter, Johan Klein, Wessie van der Westhuizen, Johan Carstens, Andy Baker and Glenda Singh at the Melrose Arch Hotel. The aim of the session was for all the students to get acquainted with each other and with the Executives.
