Excellence in Action:

THE Altech Academy is one of the stars in Transformation Vision 2012's firmament. Launched late last year, the academy plays a central role in Altron's accelerated development programmes.

In less than a year, the academy has made its presence felt. But don't take our word for it - here is what some of our students have to say:

The programme opens up one's mind and one is able to apply the information at work. What do I like least about the academy? Using a unisex bathroom at Da Vinci!

I enjoy the workshops. The content is very, very good, the material is current and relevant and the lecturers are of a high quality.

The fact that Altech has embarked on this initiative shows the route the company is on. It was a brilliant idea to start the academy and I hope that it will deliver a high return on investment so that it can continue.

The lecturers are very good. Karen, for instance, didn't lecture but facilitated an open discussion. If someone expressed interest in a certain topic she would obtain additional reading material for that person.

We also enjoy the fact that what we learn we can apply. While we were on course, for example, we wrote an application which is now being used by customers. This means more revenue for the company as we have improved the way in which projects are currently implemented in the department.
