Purpose
Altech prides itself in being an innovative leader in technology, and we pride ourselves even more in our people. South Africa has a skills shortage, particularly in the ICT sector, and Altech is therefore at the core of this national challenge. The very essence of the challenge has given rise to the formation of the Altech Academy.This as an opportunity not only to nurture the vast talent within the company but also to retain Altech’s most valuable asset, its people. With the intention of turning Altech’s talent into tomorrow’s stars, we established an internal institution that would allow us to develop and foster talent within the Altech Group.
Vision and Philosophy
The training and development vision is to position Altech for success by developing its employees through the management of technology, innovation and people. The philosophy of the Academy is built on three pillars, Intellectual Capacity Building, Leadership Development and Learnerships and Bursaries. The Company shall continuously develop its human and intellectual capital by equipping employees with competencies that are based on its strategic business goals as well as specific job requirements. All education, training and development interventions shall be aligned to business needs and strategies; comply with relevant legislation and meet the highest possible quality standards.
