The Altech Academy is nothing without candidates. But who will those candidates be? To find out, Altech will be ‘talent spotting’. Altech’s talent search has four aspects:

  • Firstly, Altech is developing a talent-management function that will identify people who have the potential and drive to better themselves.
  • Secondly, Altech will use an approach to talent management that begins by thinking of people as the company’s main asset. Altech wishes to invest in its people to ensure the future of the company.
  • Thirdly, Altech has enrolled its own managers to look out for, and report, exceptional talent among the people with whom they work.
  • Lastly, Altech will search for talent outside of the organization and attempt to recruit the best of it. To this end, sponsored learnerships and bursaries will be offered.

Naturally, Altech encourages its people to be proactive, and those who can demonstrate commitment and motivation should present themselves as potential candidates. People who take the initiative already have one of the all-important indicators of talent.
